During my brief stay, it seemed a sweet, dusty, quiet place, and I worry that I did miss the community's heart.

That's the tricky part about traveling, especially in a hurry, pus trying to be amusing at the same time. I really don't want to take cheap shots and hurt feelings.

So let me say now, I thought Holbrook was a cool, funky town and I'm sorry to have missed out on the Navajo dancing, the tacos and the sense of community there.

Best regards,
PaulPaul Soudershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01722644568297262792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3460185109590932388.post-7403377790135095692009-07-15T07:50:54.009-07:002009-07-15T07:50:54.009-07:00Interesting commentary on our little town, but you...Interesting commentary on our little town, but you missed the heart of this community. You should have stuck around for a Navajo Taco fundraiser to support a local with a life threatening disease, or listened for the Navajo dancers who practice 3 nights a week by the courthouse. Well, and there is always the drunk man we have to swerve around because he thinks the road looks like a posturpedic and signs that read "BEGIN OF NAVAJO COUNTY MAINTENANCE" at the end of the pavement...could be worse, could be Vegas.cliffrosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01327383416690846188noreply@blogger.com
